Are you actually going to be making this design? Personally I feel it will be a difficult task. Never tried a 4 column layout before so my guess is it could be too cramped. Especially with the links down one side.

Maybe swap to horizontal navigation? This would allow the rest of your columns a bit extra room to breathe.

The colours you have chosen are ideal I think. A few of the 2nd years chose blue and white for their first websites.

A nice idea so far. I would like to see the final result

For your screen design I have a couple of questions, what’s the question mark for? Is it a logo or is something meant to be there? What are the software 1 and 2 buttons for?

I like the colour scheme you have used and I also like your contents down the left hand side, I think it looks different and the buttons look well suited to the design.

I'm not sure the '4' in the title really suits the target audience... and I also think it conveys a certain amount of unprofessionalism.

As the others mentioned, it's a good, simple colour scheme with allows for a good level of contrast.

Your choice of colours is suitable to your target audience, however the use of number 4 is totally inappropriate. The use of txt speak, often baffles old people and some find it offensive. (Soz but I av only used it 4 yung peeps only :-). I must be an old person because I to find it really irritating.

I like the colour scheme as it allows for a lot of contrast and this is vital to ensure that the target audience can easily read the text.

I also think that the main content in would better in 3 rows of 2 instead as this would make the alignment much easier for the text and the images.

I think the apple logo is a little out of date! But I would say that. I think it would be good if you took the black background of it though before you actually made the website.

Looks ok at the moment by the way - The only thing i would change about the design is what tom said, replace "4" with "for". I don't think silver surfer's are all that into txt talk!

Well done!
